Clark Kent has been exposed along to the “bare essence” of Superman. In Smallville he is portrayed by Tom Welling, born April 26, 1977 is an American actor, director, and ex- male fashion model for Tommy Hilfiger, Abercrombie & Fitch, Calvin Klein and other print ad campaigns, while pursuing an acting career. He appeared in some commercials and a music video. He is most renowned for his ongoing portrayal of Clark Kent in the current television series Smallville. His films consist of the 2003 remake of the 1950’s movie Cheaper by the Dozen and its sequel, and the 2005 version of The Fog. He has won and been nominated for consecutive years for Saturn Awards and Teen Choice Awards. Welling is currently happily married to his longtime girlfriend Jamie White. They exchanged their wedding vows on July 5, 2002, held Martha’s Vineyard, after a four year relationship. He is presently living in Los Angeles with his wife. During the filming of Smallville, however, he stays in Vancouver.
