Lex’s scientists are doing tests on the Crystal of Knowledge that was taken from the North Pole which they subject to a sonic frequency generator which in turn releases a blast of energy to towards the sky. Unbeknownst to them that this was a beacon that signified other Kryptonians that there was one of their kind on the planet of origin which just happened to be earth. A woman suddenly appears in a beam of light in the streets of Metropolis where she finds a man and seduces him. She says she is a Kryptonian who had seen the beacon and is there looking for a mate. She kisses him giving him a high that she says is just the start, but he falls to the ground, which she notes is because he isn’t from Krypton and with that it was the kiss of death.

The episode has Oliver (aka The Green Archer), being poisoned and is dying, collapsing at a charity event.  Oliver informs Chole and Clark that he was poisoned and that he only has 24 hours to live sending Clark around the world searching the world for a cure. Oliver, dreams of his being stranded on the isolated island which had him learning to use the bow and arrow eventually making him into the Green Archer. Oliver also recalls having met Tess when she was kidnapped by a man named Marcos who is also responsible for poisoning Oliver. Clark the forever superhero, gets the antidote, saves Oliver who tells him that Tess is next. Tess takes revenge on Marcos sending him to die in the hospital after Clark rescues her from a painful death with the same poison used on Oliver.
