Clark must look after a kindred spirit when his relative supports a mysterious teen who can read minds. The teen named Ryan enters the Kents’ life in melodramatic fashion when Martha unintentionally hit him with her car while he is running away from is stepfather. Parents of Clark deided to take Ryan in, but the boy’s security is soon vulnerable by the return of Ryan’s stepfather.

The stepfather is very persistent on Ryan to use his mind-reading powers to facilitate him in his latest plot that is to get hold of Lex’s password for his assets. Clark manages to save Ryan and promises to keep his secret of Lex.
