Smallville which began like most superhero stories began as a spin-off of the DC comic book Superman. Smallville started with the story centered on the high school life of Clark and his friends. Through the years, the characters have also matured and moved on with their lives. New characters from the comic book were slowly introduced to the audiences. Through all the twist and turns and evolution the basic plot of the story remained.
